Kung Fu and IceCream

We spent the morning at home. It was so hot (almost 100 degrees). In the afternoon we hit the pool and spent some time cooling off at the pool. Paul had a taste for Mexican so we went to our local mexican eatery. The food was really good as always although i was upset about some of the conversation at our table. Jacob never talks about divorce and yet at dinner he mentioned it twice.
Afterwards, Jacob and I went to the mall with his friend and saw Kung Fu Panda. Cute movie. then we went to get ice cream at Friendlies. She babbled on about her My Space page and her sisters cruise/Internet romance that went bad because he was cheating. i felt bad for her. She had more de jevu experiences to relate than I've ever had in my life. Jacob enjoys her company and she seems like a sweet girl. I'm a little concerned about how easy Jacob is open to her power of suggestion though, it always seems to get him into trouble at school.
On Monday Jacob mentioned divorce again. Andrew asked him about it. We both wondered why it was a sudden topic of conversation. I honestly felt like someone put him up to it. My husband has asked for a divorce before, last year in fact, on more than one occasion. Each time I told him that a divorce was fine, just say when but unlike Elvis, he hasn't left the building. We don't discuss things anymore, at least not important things. i asked him for a simple will and the location of our insurance policies (he says we have a million dollars plus) but he won't give me the information. If he were in a car accident tomorrow, I don't know how the kids and I would make it. I have no information, nor am I allowed to as he will not furnish the information.
Hubby promised to buy me a car in June. He said they would be cheaper then. He refuses to get rid of the van and still has time left on his Passat. He is controlling both cars in our marriage, when it has always been our agreement that each of us would have a car in our own name. I have nothing in my name. I don't have a penny to my name. I haven't worked in over two years.
I sincerely hope that my children are not being used. They have autism and it is greatly disturbing to me seeing my children used in this way. It would not be the first time.
